I am an Innovation Journalist, Reporter, and Media Researcher from Kenya with a strong interest in journalists' safety in the digital age. My work focuses on misinformation and disinformation, digital security, media ethics, technology, press freedom, and the impact of emerging technologies on journalism. I am committed to advancing safe, ethical, and innovative journalism through research, reporting, and advocacy.

Definition of journalists' safety

Journalists' safety is the protection of media professionals from physical, digital, legal, psychological, and economic threats while they gather, produce, and publish information. It ensures they can report freely, ethically, and independently without fear of violence, intimidation, censorship, harassment, or retaliation.

Future plans for research on journalists' safety

I plan to conduct research on digital security, online harassment, misinformation, AI and journalism, the safety of student journalists, and strategies to strengthen press freedom and resilience among media professionals in Kenya and across Africa.

Areas interested in collaborating with NGOs

I am interested in collaborating on digital security, online harassment, press freedom, media ethics, fact-checking, misinformation and disinformation, AI and journalism, and the safety of student journalists. I would welcome collaboration with organizations such as UNESCO, Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Reporters Without Borders (RSF), International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), Africa Check, Article 19, and the Media Council of Kenya.
