I'm a professor of Journalism Studies and Head of the M.A. Program in Political Communication at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. I have served on ethics committees within the Israeli public service and was one of the contributors to its Code of Ethics. I currently serve as Chair of the National Curriculum Committee for Media Studies at the Ministry of Education.

Definition of journalists' safety

The capacity of journalists to carry out their professional responsibilities without facing threats to their security (physical, mental, digital, or financial) and safeguarding them from harm or intimidation, which may compromise their ability to report according to professional standards.
