My research deals with different problems of journalistic security in Turkey with a critical approach and multidimensionally. I focus on security issues and solutions in the context of different journalism practices.

Definition of journalists' safety

Safety is a multifaceted subject including national and international legal order and institutions such as the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), and states who are the protectors of this order, as well as media institutions, trade bodies and trade unions, insurance companies, the academic and educational realms, and national and international non-profit organizations working on democracy and human rights. In this respect, it is repeatedly emphasized that safety should be considered by a multi-dimensional approach that also includes training, ethics, equipment, technology, support, assurance and legal efforts.
